Demo Version 1.25: Progression hotfix, church included


The next big update is still not done (I'm currently trying to wrap up five unfinished levels at once!) but I got alerted to a serious progression-breaking issue so I had to release this hotfix immediately.

Full list of changes:

  • Fixed a serious bug where saving Frie with the medkit would not erase all cutscene triggers, locking you into the Bread Ruins bad ending if you went back to Frie's Rest and hit the trigger that checks if you left her behind.
  • Fixed 1x1 level entrances (e.g. Lever Action) glitching out visually when entering them.
  • New area in Castle Town: Burgerlink Shrine! The level here isn't done yet but there's a shop with an item that will make a certain super-hard boss fight a little easier... if you can afford it.
  • Nexus Travel Hub NPCs now react to story progress.
  • Finally fixed the clipping audio in the HolySword beam sound (also made it a little less high pitched)
  • Chromospheres now doesn't apply the alternate palette to food items on the pause menu.
  • Fixed some inconsistencies with palettes and chromospheres.
  • Frozen Ocean: fixed some bad enemy placements in the Slide Town zone.
  • Removed distortion effect from pool in Fruitian Royal Castle lobby that let you see into the void outside the room.
  • Added more NPCs and props to unfinished areas in Castle Town.
  • Speckled Springs entrance now has a preview of the hazard the level will contain, so you can get used to it in a safe environment.
